Story preview
The garage smelled of rain, rubber and hot metal. Naomi Kade set her black helmet on the workbench and watched water track across the visor. Tomorrow’s race was meant to be her clean ending: one final start, one final flag.
Luca found the cut before midnight. It was too precise to be wear and too dangerous to dismiss. He locked the garage doors, photographed the brake line and looked at Naomi with the expression he reserved for facts that could not be negotiated.
“Someone wanted you on the track with this,” he said. Outside, thunder rolled over the empty grandstand. Naomi had spent months proving she needed no one. Now the final lap depended on whether she could trust the man who knew every sound her machine made — and every silence she used to hide.
Continue the complete story in YourBD and decide whether Naomi races, investigates or walks away.
A race that begins with a decision off the track
The damaged brake line changes Naomi's final race from a personal milestone into a question of trust. Luca has evidence of sabotage, while Naomi must decide how to respond to a threat she cannot solve through determination alone. The garage gives them a place to argue about facts before the pressure of the circuit takes over.
Ideas for your own continuation
Let Naomi ask to examine the evidence with Luca, or explore what walking away from the race would mean to someone who planned it as her clean ending. An investigation can begin with who had access to the garage, without explaining how to sabotage a vehicle. These are optional writing directions after opening the story, not fixed choices shown in this preview.
For a new scene, use the roleplay opening templates. Keep what Naomi and Luca know separate from what they suspect in a scene recap.
